Be the first to know what's next!

Art therapy is not about creating a masterpiece - it's about tapping into our authentic, creative expression and in doing so, understanding who we are.

ABOUT ME

CHELSEA KITSCH (DKATI/CEOLC)
they/them
Hi! I'm Chelsea, a non-binary & queer Art Therapist & Death Doula.
I am a settler, born on Treaty 4 territory, also known as Southern Saskatchewan, and I currently live, work, and create on the unceded, ancestral Mi'kma'ki.
Although I've relocated, I am a prairie kid at heart. I bring that "land of living skies" energy to my art therapy practice in the way that it is expansive, ever-evolving, and deeply embodied. My approach to personal growth and healing is collaborative and grounded in the knowing that our individual stories are inherently tied to those of our community and the greater collective. All of my services are uniquely crafted to suit your needs on each leg of your personal journey, with the understanding that as we build resilience and capacity on a personal level, we are better able to build & participate in supportive communities that positively impact the collective.
As a person who has learned much about themselves through art therapy, I support others in their self-exploration and identity work from a deep understanding of the vulnerability and challenges involved in this process. It can be very confronting to journey inward, and I meet my fellow artists with a profound respect for their courage to do so.
Art-making and creative expression are the main methods I utilize in my practice, however, I incorporate many other skills and interests where appropriate. Some of these include nature walks & eco-art, dreamwork, mindfulness & breathwork, and spiritual practices & mysticism.
